This was a concept drawing of historical home that was applying for a permit to be renovated. In many cities, the historical district has very strict guidelines for constuction or renovation.

The city wanted to be sure that the finished home would look much like the original and could meet the guidlines set by the historic district.

The building was rendered using a mixture of ink and marker.

About this home

A concept rendering is an absolute must when you are dealing with towns/cities with stricter regulations on architecture or when a project resides within a historic district. There are many hearings, meetings and input from different entities. Showing the "powers that be" what you have in mind from the very start will save you many hours, debates, and quite possibly your sanity.

Buffalo Wild Wings Conceptual - Location Classified (seriously)

This is a conceptual prototype for a Buffalo Wild Wings. It was a makeover of an existing restaurant chain that went out of business. The client wanted to show the corporation how the remodel would ultimately look if the piece of property were purchased and remodeled. As soon as we can reveal more about it, we will!

The whole illustration was sketched using a pictures supplied to us by the client. That is all we need!

Conceptual Sketch Hotel Building

This was a portfolio show piece of an actual hotel/convention center located in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. It was created to show the method of ink and marker on large conceptual pieces.

Estech Visalization, Conceptual Technology Campus - Eagle/Star, ID

I was never happy with just doing a top down vizualization of the Estech Technology Campus Concepualization that we created for the Governer's Golden Spike Ceremony in 2009, but we had only a few hours to complete this last minute project. I found some spare hours over the holidays to redo the project the way I wanted it to look, given more time. The original project was done in a 3-day rush, in which we had to plan from scratch what a technology campus of 100 acres might look like somewhere in either Star or Eagle, located between the 55 and Boise River. Shown below the new handdrawn version is the original.

Here is the original... which was excellent for our display, but in 2D, these maps seem to not give as much of an overall understanding of the project. When Dimensions are added, the comprehension is much better.
